Dear Families,

I can’t believe that a whole school year has come and gone. It has been such a wonderful opportunity for me to teach your students. I will cherish this year particularly since this will be my last year at Edison as I will be retiring in June.

We have been privileged with so many talented UO practicum students who have given their time to help in the classroom. The parent volunteers in room 4 have been so supportive to keeping programs alive and thriving at our school and we thank you so much and wish you a very enjoyable summer vacation.

Topics for this Week June 3 – June 6th

• We will finish our Oregon Trail Simulation with lots of moving on the trail based on completing work, showing team cooperation, and handling fates! Aaron and Yi Chun will complete their lessons and graduate from their programs this June. Congratulations!

• The students will be clearing out their desks and bringing home papers and folders each day, so please make sure their backpacks are empty for the next day.

Friday, June 7th is a grading day for teachers to complete report cards and no school for students. The report cards will be mailed out the following week. If you have two households, let me know so that each family will receive a separate report card.

• There is a half day  on Monday, June 10, with a field day 9- 10:30am organized by Brian. We hope you will be at school on Monday, but if you are not, please let the office know as soon as possible. If your child needs a lunch on Monday, let me know on Thursday, June 6th.

• If there is anything I have forgotten, I will let you know.

Bon vacances y buenas vacciones, and happy summer,

Debra and Cassidy and Aaron and Yi Chun
