Morning School Hours
- Breakfast doors open at 8:00am – breakfast is free to all students.
- Classroom doors open at 8:20am.
- School begins promptly at 8:30am.
- Students arriving after 8:30am are considered late and must report to the office prior to going to class.
Afternoon Dismissal School Hours
- Monday – Thursday dismissal is at 3:00pm.
- Friday dismissal is at 1:45pm.
What are my teacher’s hours?
Before School: daily 8:00-8:20
After School: Mondays 3:00 – 3:15
Where do my grades come from?
Not all work results in grades in the formal grade book. We learn and practice and then practice some more before we are graded in understanding the content. I don’t think it is fair to give final grades on day 1 of learning something. We are all entitled to try and practice before doing assessments. Most “grades” in our class are actually feedback opportunities to find out what we are doing right and what we need to fix.
Can I make up missing work?
Yes please. Gaps form when we miss days or learning. All learning experiences are required. Accommodations can be made but learning the content is never optional.
Make ups are different given your situation.
- If you didn’t finish your classwork when expected, it id due the very next day upon entry to the classroom.
- Students who were absent have the same numbers of days to turn the work in. Absent 1 day means you have 1 day to make up the work. Two days out means 2 days to make up the work.
After the initial allotted time, students may have to stay in from recess to complete work with teacher.
How do I get work from my absence?
Check the absent folders for all work. Go online to complete the studies. Turn in work to the absent/late in promptly.
How do I know what I missed in class?
Look at the class agendas online.
