Highlight is around a fifth of the way through after the small interruption when my mom starts talking about how no one else grew up vegetarian in the woods and it was very different

 

Summary: This interview is between me and my mother Roxanne and we are in our house in Eugene Oregon. We talk about her growing up and how she grew up in the middle of nowhere in the woods. I chose my mother because she had a really interesting story and a lot of her younger stuff was interesting. She talks about living with solar and peculiar circumstances of her childhood and then we move into teenage jobs. After talking about teenage years we round around with how she met my dad and how parenting has changed her before going into stories and hobbies as a child. The interview is 22:59 minutes long and I think it went on for a little longer then it should and I hate how my voice sounds but other then that it’s a great interview.

 

Reflection: I have to say my mom was not ready for this interview at all, she freaked out when she heard the questions and thought they were too personal. Eventually I convinced her and I think she enjoyed it a lot despite her original fear. She liked it so much she even sent it to my grandma. I learnt some small stuff about my mom I haven’t heard before and got to learn how my mom met my dad as well. I don’t think of my mom much different then before but I think the stuff she said was interesting. In the end I’m glad I did the interview and would definitely do it again.
