Shots and Angles
Shots and Angles Photography Assignment
Students learn camera basics, and basic photographic technique by taking a variety of prescribed pictures. Students use a printed guide that demonstrated 5 camera shots and 5 camera angles. Students use cameras or smart devices to take the series of images. Images are then peer reviewed, approved, and then complied for presentation using iMovie. Movies must have a screen title, images labeled, and accompanying soundtrack.
Students are graded on having successfully demonstrated and presented the 5 shots and 5 angles in the iMovie format. Finished work is uploaded to Vimeo and then streamed to a page in their ePortfolios.
I was suppose to take pictures with 10 different shots or camera angles (Extreme long Shot, Long Shot, Medium Shot, Close-Up, Extreme Close-Up, Bird’s-Eye View, High Angle, Eye Level, Low Angle, and Oblique/Canted Angle). Using all these types of shots, I was suppose to create a story and add music. I first took all the pictures around the school, mainly in the library. My story was about how it was Kendall’s first time in the library. She looked around, picked a book, started reading, and returned the book. I put them in order in Imovie and labeled them the name of the shot. I then got background music and uploaded it on Vimeo. I think the quality of my project is good.
