Writing Style Assignment #2 – Human Interest Story
Students review the concept of the Human Interest writing style; what constitutes a human interest story. Students pick 3 possible topics to write about, post them on their ePortfolio for review with the teacher. Students pick on topic that they are interested in writing about, then do the necessary research, reference their sources, use the idea map to generate an outline, then write a 300 word draft for peer review. Final copies are posted to their ePortfolios
I liked how you could pick any topic for this project and it was very open to anything. You could do whatever and just meet the criteria of having at least 350 words and a popular topic. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
