Grades

Grades will be updated in the ParentVUE system about every two weeks or as soon as I finish grading an assignment or assessment. All assignments and assessments are returned to students and reviewed in class. Students and parents are encouraged to ask Mr. Wade if they have any grade or content questions outside of class time, or via email.

Class Grading:                                                         

Math Practice – Homework / Class Work:      50%                            

Tests / Quizzes/Assessments :                               50%                            

Grading Scale:

A         88% – 100%

B         78% – 87%

C         66% – 77%

D         55% – 65%

Homework/Classwork Grading

  I accept late work up to the “last day for make-up work” each term.  Students can earn up to 80% of full credit for a late or make-up assignment. 

Most assignments will be graded on a 5-point basis. The scoring rubric is as follows:

5 = All problems attempted, all math reasoning and work shown, careful, neat work, Enhanced work/corrections shown in blue/red pen

4.5 = Almost all problems attempted, most work shown, some corrections in blue/red pen.

4 = Most problems attempted (more than 80%), most work shown, most corrections done

3 = More than half of problems attempted with work

2 = Less than half the problems completed with work

1 = Started assignment or just answers

0 = No assignment/missing
