  • EasyCBM Window Open: Please plan on completing your grade level’s EasyCBM assessments over the next few weeks. If you have questions or need support, connect with Jenn Dillon. Linked here is a document of the different assessments by grade level.

  • Classified Staff Pathways Training on February 3: Reid sent this email earlier this week to all classified staff. You’ll participate in the district’s Pathways professional development on Friday, February 3 from 8:30-11:30. If you haven’t already selected a pathway for the year, please click here (ensure you’re signed into your 4J Google account) to select a pathway.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING AND OTHER INFORMATION

  • Increasing Student Talk: One of the ways we can help lessen our load is by giving students the opportunity to do some of the heavy lifting themselves. This article from Edutopia shares ways to help students learn to engage in rich discussions with one another about the texts they’re reading or content they’re learning. This not only increases engagement but also teaches them to persevere when things get hard and not rely on us to “save” them.

Looking Ahead:

Mon, Feb 30 Tue, Jan 31 Wed, Feb 1 Thur, Feb 2 Fri, Feb 3
No School: Staff at NEHS in the AM and PM doing Progress Reports

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Peter and Gina
