Aravis:

“What is up Lancer Nation, it’s Aravis here, head of the Lancer News Team, and your favorite (as we all know).

First off, we’ve got Teacher Appreciation Week next week, May 2nd through May 6th.

Make sure you tell your teachers thank you for all that they do for us and just show your appreciation through love.

Next up, no school Friday, May 6th. We’ve got midterms coming up people, and we need to get those homework assignments in and our tests in. Start off the next half of the term amazingly, and head into summer.

May 7th. Saturday. 8-11pm. Guess what we have… That’s right! We’ve got the junior and senior prom. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Make sure you buy those tickets, people.

Guests: Guest forms are no longer being accepted at this time. If your guest isn’t on the list at the door, they will be turned away. Don’t bring anybody that isn’t on the list, that just makes things harder for people.

That’s about it for me for now, let’s go to Holden for the weather.

Holden:

“Hello lancers, and here we have today’s weather, and this week’s weather. Monday we have a 50% chance of rain, but don’t get me wrong, it is going to be a nice 52. Tuesday we’ve got a 62 high, and a whopping 73 on wednesday. It’s going to be really nice. Thursday, 40% chance of rain, but 59. And Friday we have a 61 degree day, Saturday, a nice 61 as well.”

Alex and Aravis:

“So let’s talk sports now.”

“What about sports?”

“How do you feel about the softball team?

“The softball team, you know, we’ve had some bad luck lately, not many people are on the team. Umm. we lost our last game 6-7 against north bend, but, you know coming up in the season hopefully they win some. We wish them good luck at their next game on may 3rd at 5pm. How about baseball? What’s your feelings on baseball?”

“Personally, we are the best team in the entire state. We actually won our last game 12-5 against North bend. That’s not bad.”

“It’s not.”

“That’s like a seven point gap.”

“Yeah. almost a 10 run rule.”

“I didn’t even know that was a rule.”

“Yeah,”

“Nobody watches baseball but, May 4th, 5pm, Churchill high school, we’re going to win our next game. Because we’re the best in the world.”

“We are. Go Lancers!”

“Hoorah.”

“Good luck.”

Holden and Alex:

“Quote of the week, slash joke of the week.”

“What does Jeff Bezos do before he goes to bed? Puts his pjamazon. Bad Joke.”

“See you later, Lancer Nation.”
“See you later, alligators.

Holden: “Hello Churchill Lancers! Today we are here for this week’s weather. On monday we have a high of 62, with a 22% chance of rain. On Tuesday we have a high of 62, with a 22% chance of rain. The last showing of this amazing musical will be held at 2pm on May 22nd. Make sure you buy those tickets, they’re only $7 for students. We hope to see you there. Thanks Lancers.”

Holden: “What do you guys think about the new Kendrick album, Churchill? On a scale of 1-10, do you rank it 10… perfect? Or 5, mid? I personally rank it a 10. I’m currently recording this on Thursday, but I know it’s gonna be a 10 so… Just wanna acknowledge that.

Aravis: “With the end of the year approaching fast, so is our 2022 Yearbook.

The yearbooks have been ordered and are ready to be bought. The book’s cost $65, but if you bought last year’s yearbook, you are eligible for the $35 deal! If you haven’t bought a yearbook yet, make sure you do by the end of the year so you can bring this year’s memories into the future with you!”

Aravis: “Thursday, May 12th our school had a Lock Out occur.

Our administration would like to let everyone know that we were not in danger, and this was an extremely low level threat. A car was stolen and crashed in the Churchill neighborhood, so safety precautions were put into place. Our administration would also like to thank students and staff for how smoothly the lock out went and to let everyone know that because of the amount of drills we do, everything went great.

“Hello again Lancers, and welcome back to The Churchill Newscast.

I’m Aravis, and I’m bringing you all of the upcoming news that you may want to know about.

First off, I would like to acknowledge our CHS Thespian Team along with Mr. Patton who put together this year’s Spring Musical. I happened to go to the production of the Wizard of Oz on Saturday and it was pretty amazing. And with that, let’s go to Holden for this week’s weather.”

Holden:

“…Holden Fendler, back at it again with the Lancer Newscast. today , we are going to do a Monday through Friday breakdown of the weather. Anyways, here we go. On monday we have a whopping high of 72. Tuesday we have a high of 71, basically the same. And on wednesday, you wouldn’t believe this guys, but a high of 78. Insane. On thursday a high of 76, and on friday a high of 70. Alex and Aravis:

“Sports”

“Football”

“What type?”

“Women’s football”

“Why women’s?”

“I don’t know”

“It’s not as entertaining”

“That is a sexist statement. Why are you laughing at that?”

“A few moments later”

“Are you ready?”

“No, I’m so tired. So what is Power Tuff?”

“Well it’s like a women’s flag football. It’s happening June 2nd, at 7:30 pm. I think it’s most likely happening on the turf, on the field.”

“What is this?”

“…at 7:30, possibly”

“I don’t know, I wasn’t told, you didn’t tell me.”

“And wait, who’s playing in it? It’s Juniors and Seniors, I believe. Its Juniors vs. Seniors, that’s what it is.”

Aravis: “The Lancer Pageant has planned a night full of dancing, jokes, and fun on June 3rd at 7 pm in the auditorium. All of the money raised that night goes to support PeaceHealth’s Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend. So make sure you go and support and just have fun.”
