Assignment #3 – Databases: Earthquakes
Students use the Earthquakes data in their handout to create a database showing Western States earthquakes with a magnitude of > 7.0 in the past 100 years. Use the charts options in MS Excel to generate a 3D column chart based on the data in the handout. Students must show data value by using the “labels” option from their “Toolbox”.
Reflection: I thought this project was pretty easy, since I already have used this software before for my birthday database. I first copied down my earthquake data on excel. Then I made it into a chart. I used my birthday database base and then pasted in my Earthquake database. I then made it a PDF and put it on my blog.
