11th LOTA: We have completed all of the stories in our packet. Today we discussed “The Cast of Amontillado”- e-mail me for the PP. Ensure you have reviewed the questions for Tell Tale and The Raven via the PP. Annotate in your packets according to the PP prompts. HW: Portfolio due 11/10 and Gothic Found Poem 11/7
9th Grade: We completed a two-voice poem comparing the voices of Marngit with the voices of the current Pipeline news story. Nice job sharing these! We filled out the theme chart for the first three sections. I introduced the convict perspective and we read “Breaking a Man’s Spirit”. Today in class we wrote and turned in a formal paragraph for this story. See me for a handout!
HW: Read “Absalom Day’s Promotion” and answer Questions 1-4. Be sure to preview the questions prior to reading- as this is a tricky one!
