9th Grade: We began our discussion on the novel The Samurai’s Garden. We also presented to our literature circle group Assignment #1 and turned this in. If you were out, you will need to complete the found poem and take a very quick reading quiz.
HW: Complete Assignment #2 and read to Pages 54-70.
11th Grade: This week we introduced Walt Whitman, our transcendental poet! We began by reading “I Saw in Louisiana” and ” This Compost”. Today, a short class, we had full discussion on the poem. HW: Read and annotate “Song of Myself” and bring in 3-5 facts on Lincoln.
