9th Grade
Today we prepared and presented group readings of African Poetry! I provided a quick mini lesson on spoken word, students had 20 minutes to prepare, and then we performed. It was a nice end to our Africa Unit!
HW: Essay due next class!
11th grade (All Sections)
I reviewed IB Taped Orals (PICK UP YOUR BLUE SHEET FROM IHS OFFICE!!). We did a quick scavenger hunt for details of the book and then talked about our motifs in chapters 7-8. We finished with a discussion on Gatsby as a tragic hero.
HW: Portfolios due next class; Lit Crit due Wednesday; FINISH NOVEL!
