9th Grade
After discussing Chapters 1-2 we took a closer look into Obed’s experience in the diamond mines of South Africa. We also compared the view of South Africa to that of Botswana and how this contributes to pride in one’s country. Review the Diamond PowerPoint. We began a partner activity two-voice poem. We will continue this next class.
HW: Read Chapters 3-4- continue to chart themes
11th Grade (Section 11-13)
We began to unravel the mystery and character relationships of Chronicle of a Death Foretold. If you missed class please meet with me to get handouts and go over a few key pieces. Be sure to look at our classes’ Powerpoint as well: Chronicle Day 1 2013 Lastly I handed out our Compare and Contrast packet- review for next class.
