9th Grade (Section 13)
We reviewed our discussion on Shinto. Students grouped up, practiced their Shinto Myth skits and then presented them to the class. After, we began the article “Home was a Horse Stall”- a telling story of what life was like for Japanese Americans during the war.
Homework: Complete the article with margin notes paraphrasing the big concept in each paragraph.

Mark Lewis in the house! Famed storyteller and local celebrity, Mark Lewis , came in to deliver his retelling of Poe’s ‘The Raven”. We also managed to talk about transcendentalism and picked apart “Self Reliance”. We turned in our Found Poems on nature. Congratulations on completing trimester 1!
