We started class by reviewing our symbolism chart for Dr. Wooreddy. Students shared excellent examples of quotes and their analysis of the symbols. We turned these in along with Wooreddy study guide questions. Be sure to do this if you were out. After I introduced our second perspective- Life as a Convict. I provided a brief overview of the Australian Convict History as and showed a clip of how England made the decision to send their overcrowded prison denizens to Australia. We creates three short haiku poems about the transition from aboriginal ways to explorer and convict perspectives and kept these in our notes. We finished with beginning our story “Breaking a Man’s Spirit”
