2018-2019 Homeroom
Welcome to the 2018-2019 Cougar Pride blog. For Homeroom this year we are changing things slightly, and are very excited! With the new schedule we have early release on Friday not Wednesday. Thus, we will have homeroom Monday-Thursday only. The structure will be as follows: Monday will be devoted to an expectations review which will address ongoing student/building needs. Information and activities will be provided ahead of time. Tuesday will be a time to learn and implement various learning strategies pulled from our School Improvement Plan. This will take place in a non-content specific manner aimed at creating unity and building relationships in our homerooms. On Wednesday we will be reading WordGenWeekly articles and having a time for student response in various ways. Thursday will offer an extension activity from Wednesday’s article using the strategy learned on Tuesday. There will be more information as well as a calendar posted ASAP.
