Louisville is the hometown of Daisy and Gatsby’s love. It is where they first met while Gatsby was stationed there temporarily. Louisville is also just a great place to visit. Louisville is one of the places that Kentucky designated as first-class. There are many forms of entertainment in Louisville including college sports, which is very popular in the Louisville area, baseball–home of the Louisville Cardinals–as well as many aspects of performing arts. Louisville is an important landmark in The Great Gatsby as this was the home of the beginning of Jay Gatsby’s long evolving love for Daisy–the woman of his dreams.
