Hi Kids,
We’re all back for another year here at Wonderful Wilagillespie. PE is off to a great start, and I wanted to take a moment to remind you of a few things.
Always remember to be ready for action when your class comes to the gym. Bring good shoes, with covered toes and a rubber sole, so you can participate fully. Wear clothes that let you move, with a sweatshirt or jacket that can be removed easily if you get hot. Also be sure to let me know if you have something that prevents you from participating, like a cold or injury from outside school. These things will help you have a great day in the gym.
This week we’re going to do the PACER test on your second class of the week. It’s a chance to see how you’re developing in your heart and lung fitness, but shouldn’t be scary or traumatic. I want it to be fun, even if it is a bit challenging. Look at it as a chance to see how you are doing compared to last year, if you’re growing. We’ll have three chances this year, and the first one is this week. Remember the part about shoes and comfortable clothing.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the school year, and enjoy your time in the gym. I always look forward to seeing you when you come in.
