Weekly Update-9 Techlit

This week in Techlit, we started working in photoshop. We have to finish up today, and I am almost finished. I just need to add a few things.

[3D STUFF] (REALISTIC 123D)

Description- After students have completed the basic steps tutorials, practiced and explored using sculpting and paint feature, they will design and create a more detailed “Creature” with realistic/lifelike features. They will reference the 123d Gallery designs for inspiration and example. Attention to detail is essential. Students are encouraged to experiment, revisit all the tools, and base forms before settling on a final creature design. Note: Students should save an unpainted version of their design for purposes of printing with the 3D printer, then apply paint details and save the painted version of their design with a version of the original name.

Reflection- I first had to create this guy in 123D creature. I first had to just get his form. His skeleton. I created a bulge down on the bottom and the middle of his stomach, to make it like a ball. And then I created a few sticks for hands, and a nice nose.

[3D STUFF] Kits and Primitives working together.

Students will watch the 123d Design Playlist Tutorials (8 short videos) and make unique customized object based on the concepts, tools, and functions introduced in the 123d Design Playlist tutorials. Exercise objects must show representation of all tools and function introduced in the tutorials.

Reflection- I first just chose a robot head that I liked from a selection of robot parts. I then took a circle out of the eyes, and re-filled it with a sphere. I then placed squares inside of the four corners that represent the mouth. I then added a cone on top of the forehead, and then added a circular column on top. I then added some squares on the side of the head, on each side. And put a final sphere on the top of the head.  I liked doing this, and it didn’t take long at all.

Week 8 3D

This week we continued our printing and working on our simple objects, along with printing them. Them we need to work on some more conflicted objects and more advanced objects.

Weekly Update- TECHLIT 8

This week, we finished up our databases, and we then started in Photoshop. I also got an award this week, because I’m pretty cool.

Weekly Update 7- 3DSTUFF

This week we got started in printing on our new 3D printers, and we have been working in 3D design, and we are working on primitive objects, and the kits that are allowed and used in the program.

Weekly Update- 7 TECHLIT

This week we went through several databases of information, and had to organize them in Excel. Mr.Schiff challenged us with temperature data and didn’t give us all of the information that we needed to have in order to organize the data correctly. This week was really fun learning new thing in Excel, and next week I can’t wait to get into Photoshop.

Week 6- 3DSTUFF

This week we were being graded on our ePortfolios’ and our creatures we created in 3DB2D. I believe I did pretty good and I hope I get good grades for mid term.
