SketchBook Horse Maker

Students are to demonstrate their knowledge of using Sketchbook tools including erase, image scaling, and layers. They must use the horses background image and then bring in a minimum of 4 images from the web to create a fantasy composite image that tells a story. Composition, masking, detail, perspective and other basic design technique will be included in the grading. Files must be saved as to Sketchbook Gallery, and shared to their Camera Roll. Students will upload their final piece from their Camera Roll to their ePortfolios with the assignment Title,  order number, and with a detailed assignment description (can be copied and pasted from here) and reflection restating what they did, how they did it, and how they feel about their work.

Reflection:

For this assignment we learned how to photoshop an image. How we did it was we went to SketchBook and put an image of some horses that Mr. Schiff took, we locked it so we wouldn’t mess it up and we made it the base. We were shown how to use it the app and this is where I took over. I thought that I should make a cat kingdom because I love cats so much so I placed a castle in the background. Next I found two cats to place up in front. I put helmets and I placed spears on them to make them look like guards, or knights. I then placed a few cats in the background to make it looked like a “city” or “town”. After that I placed a dinosaur cat in the background! Because I can. Lastly I changed the sky because I felt like I wanted a sunset sky. I really REALLY liked this assignment because 1 I’ve never done anything like this before, and 2 because now I can do some fun things with this app in my free time. The story here is about how cats took over this human area and placed themselves there and made a city! BUT. A cat dinosaurs comes in and joins in on the fun of taking over. THE END. Cats rule 🐱!!
