Using COWS, respond to one of the prompts on the back of your Swing Kids handout. If you missed class, do this at home. Here’s the guidelines:

You may use “I” but never “you”

3/4 to one page long, double spaced

Header should only have name on left and then double space. No title needed. Don’t use up space writing things like the date and the name of this class.

Remember to include a strong opening sentence and a good “wrap up.”

HWK: Read excerpt from Bound Feet and Western Dress pgs .80-92. Choose 10 words from the vocab list and type original sentences using those words in a way that lets me know you know the meaning. For example, if the word were “clever,” you wouldn’t write, “She’s very clever.” Instead, you’d write something like, “She is know for being clever because she figures out the answers to math problems so quickly.”
