Fri. 5/16 “C” Day — Freshmen 9A and Sophomores 10B

FOR FRESHMEN:

Using COWS, respond to one of the prompts on the back of your Swing Kids handout. If you missed class, do this at home. Here’s the guidelines:

You may use “I” but never “you”

3/4 to one page long, double spaced

Header should only have name on left and then double space. No title needed. Don’t use up space writing things like the date and the name of this class.

Remember to include a strong opening sentence and a good “wrap up.”

Email me if you have further questions!

HWK: READ CH. 1 OF NIGHT AND ANSWER STUDY QUESTIONS

FOR SOPHOMORES:

Quiz on Prologue & “A Woman Is Nothing” from Bound Feet and Western Dress

Class discussion to finish the partner work you began on Wild Swans

See a student film on “A Woman Is Nothing”

Begin point of view assignment. We’ll finish it in class next week.

HWK: READ “LOTUS PETALS” (IT’S SHORT — ONLY PAGES 88-92) FOR WED. OF NEXT WEEK. WE’LL HAVE TIME TO WORK ON YOUR SCRIPT, WHICH IS ALSO DUE ON WED, DURING CLASS ON MON. 5/19. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU START YOUR SCRIPT THIS WEEKEND AND LEAVE MONDAY IN CLASS FOR POLISHING IT.
