Oregon Trail Research Project

Oregon Trail Research Project:

  1. Here you will choose one of the 50 topics that you are interested in learning more about.
  2. Find at least two sources (Oregon Trail 101, Wikipedia, World Book Online, etc.)
  3. Read the encyclopedia overview to see if you are still interested in your topic.  If not, then start over at #1
  4. Create a focus question about your topic that you wish to answer.  For example if you are interested in the Gold Rush, you could ask “What were the major hardships for those who traveled to California for the Gold Rush?
  5. Include the sources where you found your information.  Cite your sources!
