Water has a pH of 7. 7 is considered neutral because it is neither acidic nor basic.
The pH scale is logarhythmic. How many more times alkaline or basic is a liquid with a pH of 10 compared to a liquid with a pH of 11?
A pH indicator such as bromthymol blue changes color as the pH changes. This is a reversible chemical reaction.
