Ankh-Morpork is one of the biggest cities in Discworld and it is light all day long. The city is split in half by the Ankh river (so polluted you can walk on it); on one half you have the “posh” part of town known as Ankh and on the other you have the “humble” part of town called Morpork including the slums called the Shades. Here in Ankh-Morpork you can get the finest Scumble, a drink so strong it is said it can be used to clean silverware. The wonderful fiefdoms of Sto Lat and Sto Helit exist about 20 miles off of Ankh-Morpork (not that far considering Ankh-Morpork is 50 miles across). Sto Lat is ruled by Queen Keli and she is assisted by the Master of the Queen’s Bedchamber, Cutwell. Sto Helit is ruled by Duke Mort and Duchess Ysabell. These are both small and rather irrelevant towns other than the fact that they’re ruled by four people who fought Death and survived.
