The 2016-2017 school year is going to be fantastic!
In language arts, you will explore your world through many lenses and share your interpretation of what you read and see. You will have the opportunity to express yourself through writing, conversation, art, and digital media. I am excited to meet you, learn about the way you see the world, and help you become the strongest writers and readers that you can be.
This year, I am thrilled to be able to teach visual arts elective classes. As a middle school teacher in New York City, I worked with the Museum of Modern Art and the School of Visual Arts to develop curriculum to help students engage with art in their world and produce their own artwork. I know that you are creative, innovative thinkers and I can’t wait to see what you produce in your art elective classes with me.
This blog will be your primary resource for all of the work you do in your classes with me. Please check it regularly for classwork, homework, and helpful links.
Students, parents and guardians may check the CLASS WORK and HOMEWORK pages of my blog for current work. If a student is absent from class, s/he may find out what we did in class. Homework will be posted on my blog each day. Click on the RED links for handouts needed to complete work.
Please email me at email@example.com if you have any questions.
