Writing practice — work on eliminating “there” as a way to begin sentences

We turned our attention back to the novel for a few minutes and found literary devices on page 94

Students worked with a partner to share their two-voice poems, choose one to perform in front of the class, and then practice the performance. We’ll continue this next class.

We watched a few minutes of the video version.
