Two nights and a morning described by a couple of Tankas and Haikus

 A Dark Night

Tanka – Tide

Come along way right?

From nothing to everything

Then back to nothing

Like a riptide of an ocean

chew, swallow, spit, rinse, repeat

Haiku -Dancing to Youth

The night grows older

Her music blasts in her ears

She dances to youth

Haiku – Hysterics

Light night calls outside

Throwing quiet hysterics

Through the receiver

A Late Night

Tanka – Tired Laughs

Sunday nights and lights

Yummy food, small and messy

Twisty roads wind on

Cushy seats under cover

Heat fogging up the cold glass

Haiku – Sunday Night

Odometer clicks

Park, and hide here forever

Or at least a while

An Early Morning

Tanka – Ah!

My brain is tired

Same pattern over again

It’s bending my mind!

Maybe I should take a break

And give poetry a rest

Haiku – Gold

Button up and hoops

Hair done and makeup for days

All for me today
