You decide that you have settled here for too long to leave, and you’re already making okay money. German soldiers are all over your town, but aren’t really doing anything malicious, even sometimes having friendly conversations. One day, a German knocks on your door informing you that any Jewish people are not allowed to have jewelry, and if found with some, will be jailed or even killed. You know you have some necklaces and rings on your wardrobe.
