Zinaida Volkonskaya- love poem

You were born a princess of Russia

But you can be my queen of music and beauty

Listening to your voice can drive me to tears

Yet I want to hear you sing in the City of Love

And for your poetry to whistle between your teeth

Making its merry way through my ears

I would like to attend one of your extravagant mansion parties

So we can sneak away and keep our love unspoken

I can relieve the pressures of you being under such suspicion

By helping you travel thousands of miles away

With our love unbroken

Star Gazing- lyric poem

With my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground
I open my eyes and take a look around
And I see angels
But they look nothing like you
And I swear that’s true

I see stars in your eyes and fluorescent lights
I look at you like I look at the moon
And I see my guide
Through the darkest nights

My brain runs a thousand miles
I can feel my skin tingle with a sort of nervousness
And I stumble on my words but you soothe me with a kiss
I see those lips
And such beauty

I see stars in your eyes and fluorescent lights
I look at you like I look at the moon
And I see my guide
Through the darkest nights

Finally, the night has come
I grab your hand and we look up above
And we see the galaxy
But it doesn’t compare to you
And I swear its true
