This is my seventh year teaching in the district and my first year at McCornack Elementary School! Previously, I taught First and Second Grade at Gilham Elementary. Prior to teaching in Eugene 4J, I taught full-day Kindergarten for two years at Siletz Valley Charter School in the Lincoln County School District.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and have also lived in Waltham, MA and San Francisco, CA. I did my undergraduate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received a Bachelor of Science in 2004. After undergrad, I taught preschool in Massachusetts and San Francisco. I moved to Oregon in 2009 to be closer to family. I received a Masters of Education from the University of Oregon in 2011 and added a Reading Endorsement in 2013.
When I’m not at school, I can be found playing with my daughter Eloise. I also enjoy cooking, knitting, reading, hiking, camping, snuggling with my two cats, and fly fishing with my husband Patrick.
