Voiceless
Given a voice but no use for it
We are silenced by those who hear but won’t listen
We are silenced with hands over our screaming mouths
Silenced by the laughter echoing in our minds
And after, we are silenced with fear
Silenced by their reputation, silenced by their mothers cries
Silenced by paperwork and answering the question
“Well, what were you wearing?”
So take my voice away, I have no use for it
Because saying something is the same as saying
Nothing at all

Tip toe, stumble, and fall
A quiet lady dancing down the hall
Barely afraid to wake the others
This tiny lady throws back another
Moonlight shining through the window
Lights off, naked, house cold
Little lady finds the wine and cheese
Lays on the kitchen floor, very very pleased

Her ears filling with music

Burning at every touch
Wishing to hold you
But to terrified to try
