Homework, which reviews and helps solidify the day’s lesson, will be graded and collected daily. Chapter tests will evaluate grammatical and cultural knowledge presented in the chapter. Speaking projects will assess oral proficiency, which includes pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, as well as provide practice for organization and research. The grade book will be updated weekly on Monday.

    Attendance:

Absences may adversely affect a student’s ability to make educational progress, and receive credit for coursework. Subsequently, excessive absences may result in lowered grades, loss of credit, removal from class, and even from school. Teachers are not required to provide additional make up work in the event of an unexcused absence.

Arriving to class on time is important. Arriving to class after the bell rings without a pass from a staff member is considered late and constitutes a tardy. Students who arrive within the first 10 minutes of class are recorded as late (LT) or very late (VL).

Please refer to Student Handbook for additional information.
