Teamwork

Definition of Teamwork: The combined actions of a group of people especially when effective and efficient.  You may have to team up with people you don’t like to accomplish a goal.

Why is Teamwork Important?  Teamwork is important because it helps you reach your goals.  It can also help you make less mistakes and accomplish your goals faster.  In dangerous situations (see below) it can save your life.

Examples: 

  • Peanuts Movie “Race for your life Charlie Brown.”  All the characters had to team up to win a rafting competition.

    Charlie Brown, Linus, Schroeder and Franklin are working together to set up Camp and their Raft for the Race

  •  Avengers: Battle of New York: They all worked together while playing to their individual strengths to defeat Loki.  The team also had to put aside their personal differences to reach this goal

  • Batman Forever: Batman had to team up with Robin to defeat Two Face and the Riddler.  In the movie, Batman and Robin had to put aside their individual goals (Batman to work alone and Robin to get revenge) to meet their common goal.

Hard Work and Good Work Ethic

  • Hard Work Definition: Tending to work with energy and commitment.  Being diligent in your job.
  • Good Work Ethic: A belief in the moral value of work.

Naruto is a good example of someone who works hard because he trains to become an expert ninja. He never stops training.

Charlotte from Charlotte’s web is a good example because she works all night to spin her web to save Wilbur.
