Training
Jay should continue to work with PSWs to access his community. Additionally, he should work with Voc Rehab and a job developer to take steps towards gaining paid employment.
Education
Jay should take classes in his community in interest areas, such as joining a gym or taking martial arts, or playing music, so that he can socialize with those in the community who have similar interests.
Employment
Jay should work with Voc Rehab and a job developer to take steps toward paid employment in a field of interest. He should gain employment in a field where he be helpful to others, as is a passion for him, or in another job he’s interested in.
Independent Living Skills
Jay should continue to take on more responsibility within his family home, helping with chores or other maintenance tasks (as he does already!). Also, he should continue to work on providing his input as part of the family team, such as helping to make dinner and support grocery shopping. When he’s ready, he should move out into his own place or live with a roommate.
