Installing A Kickstand
Tools Needed:
- Bike Pump
- Ruler
- 14 mm Wrench
- Hacksaw
Tips:
- Make sure Tires are properly inflated (60 psi).
- Use Metric Ruler (mm). Measure from the Ground to the lowest point on the frame
- Find the corresponding length on your new kickstand
- Cut your kickstand to your measurement with a hacksaw
- Start screwing the bolt by hand. Do not use a wrench until you are sure the threads are engaged.
- Top plate of the kickstand needs to be perpendicular to the bike.
- When Installing the Kickstand, make sure the kickstand is not hitting the tire or the pedal. Make sure the kickstand follows the angle of the frame.
- Make sure the kickstand is between the gear cables and your frame.
- Give the top bolt a few final turns to make sure it is tight.
