Homework: Complete a research proposal (40 points) that includes:
- A research question that is unresolved in the scholarly literature. This question should be rooted in a specific place and time period, i.e. the Great Plains of North America from 1865-1890. (15 points.)
- A working thesis and supporting paragraph that represent your current best guess answer to the research question. (10 points.)
- An annotated bibliography in MLA format with at least three (3) sources that includes one print book, one scholarly journal article and one primary source. For the annotations, you must give an overview of each source that proves you have at least skimmed the contents. Do not number your list. (15 points.)
Make sure you get your MLA works cited entries correct! Use Diana Hacker’s guide to find out exactly how to list each kind of source properly. I will grade strictly on proper MLA style.
