Warm Up

Choose a side of the room to answer the following question:

Think for a moment about what career you would like to pursue after graduation.  If you know exactly what that is immediately, when I say go, stand by the “I know” side; if you have no idea whatsoever, stand on the “I have no idea” side.  The space between represents the spectrum of where you could be between those two sides.

Share why you chose that spot.

Lesson

There are two options in order to prepare for the Career Fair:

Option 1: My Interests

Reflect on your own interests. The links below are for student interest surveys that correspond to different industries.

  2. Write down or print the information about your results to help you decide which industries you’ll meet with at the Career Fair.

Option 2: My Resume

  1. The link below is to a resume template.  Feel free to use another resume template if it may be more familiar. http://bit.ly/2wMDdO7
  2. After students complete a rough draft, share with another student.
  3. Those that would like to participate in an interview at the Career Fair must have a resume.  Each interview will last approximately 10 minutes.

Exit Ticket

After learning more about your interests, are there any industries you plan on talking to at the Career Fair?

Would anyone like to do a mock interview?
