Developing Questions:

  1. Industry professionals will be expecting you to dress professionally, approach them, shake hands, introduce yourself and then ask a relevant question.  Turn and talk to a partner – brainstorm 2-3 relevant questions that you could ask.
  2. Think about the video you just watched and/or the research you did in Lesson 1.  After 5 minutes, we will share out.

Recording Questions in Passport:

  1. At the Career Fair, you are expected to engage with 6-10 industry partners, after asking them on/more questions, you will request that they stamp your passport to indicate that you professionally engaged with them (point to the space for the stamp).
  2. You will notice that the first two questions are filled out as samples.  Complete the remaining 8 blank questions with questions you’ve brainstormed with a small group.
    • Remember to use your research from Lesson 1 to write relevant questions.

Role Play

Students will get into groups of 3 and design a 30-60 second skit.   Pretend to be an industry person and practice introducing yourselves and asking a professional question. You will have 5 minutes to create your skit.  Then each group will come up and role play in front of the class.
