No summer bridge… Try UO Sail Summer Program

The message below is from the 4J District Office:

HS Summer SAIL@UO

The University of Oregon will be offering their annual UO SAIL program remotely this year.  This is an opportunity for students to learn more about college, interact (remotely) with college student mentors and take courses from a wide variety of UO faculty – all especially designed for high school students, including the incoming 9th grade class. In fact, we are strongly encouraging our ninth-grade students to participate in this experience.

This year, 4J will be offering 0.50 credit for students who participate fully in the SAIL activities this summer, meet with their college mentors three times during the school year, and participate in organized recruitment of other students to participate in SAIL in the summer of 2021. We will have technology available (laptops and hotspots) for any 4J student participating in SAIL. If you need technology, please let me know by email (holliday@4j.lane.edu). Once we have confirmed your registration, we will communicate a plan for you to pick up needed technology during the week of July 20, 2020.
