Robotics fights
The first one they basic build and the second one is the final build ready for battle.
Individual Summary: I really had a fun time battling the other robots. I was the one coding the most since I took this class before. But, the strategy that made us win the most games, was an idea by one of our teammates willem. The strategy was to first, ram the other team’s robot, then you proceed to spin on a forever loop and if you do it right, you spin the robot on it’s side and push it out of the ring. This is really fun! 🙂
Group summary: Our group worked better than I first expected, at the start of making our robots, one of teammates would somethings get distracted by another team. We all really had our own jobs. I was the coder, willem was the one who came up with ideas for our robots and our cod, and brayden put together most of the robot! We all had a great time fighting others in the ring! 🙂

Evaluation summary: We ended up placing 5th out of 10 teams, not really a good score but at least we did not get out in the first round. We won the first round because our code worked like it should. We lost in the second round because the other team pushed us out really fast before we even got a chance to do our spin, they ended up getting second, so good for them!
Another reason why we lost is because about halfway through the bot battles, our light second did not work so we could not detect the light and it did not turn around, so when we were getting pushed out, the robot just kept moving forward making it very hard to win. But all and all I liked our team and everyone did very well and I hope we can do this again next year!
