Students have until Monday to turn this in so they can complete it over the weekend if needed. We have had about 230 minutes of work time on these in class over the last 3 days, many students were near finishing and some had turned it in already. Many students were beginning to waste class time and were increasingly off task so I will not be using any more class time. They are welcome to work at resource tomorrow. Please remember this is a project for the students, not the parents 🙂 Thank you!

Día de los Muertos project has been going on for a week now, research should already be done, essays should be started. Students cannot start the altar project until essay is done. If they come to resource on Wednesday they can work on altar whether or not the essay is done. If your student wants special art supplies they will need to bring them, I am only supplying 1 box per student and some basic supplies. I am asking that essays not be written at home so I can better monitor student writing and that they are not using banned websites/translator tools. Projects due this Friday the 3rd (the day after Día de los Muertos).

10/31 – No new reading for those of you that will be busy for Halloween! Use this opportunity to catch up if you are behind.

Read Ch. 9 of Hunger Games and write a 3 sentence summary, read Ch. 10 over the weekend and find an example of figurative language to include on our tracker. Please get caught up on reading as we will be returning our focus to the book now that the projects are done 🙂

11/7 – Real homework tonight. I need to see less time wasted in class with talking, playing and work avoidance. Read ch. 12, finish Roma reading questions, finish Katniss conflictos. These activities were done in class and should’ve been completed, if you did not finish, it is all homework.
