Progress Reports handed out today!!// ¡Los alumnos recibieron los informes escolares en clase hoy!

Hello Everyone!  As you know, I do not use Synergy as my grade book.  In order to make sure everyone stays informed, I send home detailed Grade Printouts regularly (every 2 1/2 – 3 weeks) for you to see, sign and return to me.  It helps everyone see what’s what and to keep on top of things in class.  Also, both students and parents are always welcome to send me an email requesting a grade update.  I usually get that out within 24-48 school days.

Please email me at newton@4j.lane.edu with any questions.

Hola A Todos,

Thanks/Gracias!  Sra. Alicia

Señora Alicia’s Fall 2017 Welcome Back Blog!

To quote myself, Holy Schniblies!   The 2017-2018 school year is here!  And it has started out with lots of excitement and LOTS of SMOKE (ugh!).  I send my thanks  to all firefighters and those who are working to support everyone who is currently fighting one of the dozen or so forest fires burning in Oregon right now.  STAY SAFE!!

Meanwhile, back at Churchill, classes have started.  So, here is my welcome back blog post.  I created this site for you, the student, and you, the parent.  I hope it’s useful. It’s just mostly a basic, clean place for you to see what’s what in Spanish class. I make no promises about anything, other than I will do my best to both keep it updated as well as to have handouts in PDF format.

A few quick thoughts: a am über (hey! That’s German! What?!) impressed with you, my students so far. I have the bar set high, to challenge you to be better than you think your best is. I appreciate the work that you are doing! ¡Gracias queridos!
