Constitution Test

Fair Warning:

The test for the constitution unit will be Tuesday, October 30 (so you don’t have to study on Halloween). We will be doing review all this week - I suggest all students bring their Constitution worksheets (all of them) on Monday and Tuesday for ease of study…

Halloween/Fall Story Contest

For all those who would like to enter: The deadline for submissions is Friday the 26th. It does not have to be typed, but please make sure your handwriting is legible!

I have sweets for all those who submit, and will have several prizes for the winners to choose from.

Please make sure your submission is anonymous! We want good stories, not a popularity contest… The winner will be asked to identify him/herself after the vote!

Due Thursday

We have been working a lot on some writing projects, and they are starting to wrap up. Thursday I will ask you to turn in your final copies of your planet writing, and also your completed ‘personal revolution’ paragraph so that we can start working on our Google Earth projects!

Yay!

Our COW is finally here! We will be going over the guidelines in class today, and I will require that students bring their sheets home to get signed (sorry about all the signatures lately ;) ) before they use them. Hopefully, we can start this week!

Part 1: One long paragraph (8 or so sentences, including intro and concl.) summarizing what you know so far about the constitution

Part 2: EITHER a 1/2 page (or longer) creative halloween story

OR a 1/2 page (or longer) write up of what holiday/season you like the most, and why.

Planet Project

Due Monday:

The second draft of our creative writing is due Monday. This needs to be at least one full page (with at least 8 words per line - if your handwriting is bigger, make it a page and a half!) and I will be checking it for errors and grammar before our final copies!
