Hello all, hope everyone had a great winter break!
We are starting the Civil war, and the month of January will be spent on civil war projects in the form of comic books (fun!). Yes, I will be picking your groups. No you cannot beg/pester me into changing them… We will also be working hard to finish up our individual projects by the end of the month for semester grading. The year is almost half gone already!
I am posting the guidelines I gave you in class here. It is an Inspiration document, so some computers might not open it (but you all have a hard copy, so you don’t need it, right?).
Please remember that while the comic book and your essays will be guided by me, the individual projects are up to you, and there will be no extensions, so please work diligently on them in the time I give you!

Sorry I haven’t posted lately - things get crazy!
4 informational notices today:
1 Your behavior during our haiku illustration time is telling me whether or not each class is capable of doing project work instead of book work - I want you to have fun, but if you cannot do the work at the same time then it will just be bookwork… Boring!
2 Community Unity Day is Friday! Students who get all their work in this week (in both classes) will be going with me to have a group breakfast during class. Students who do not get their work done will be taking a test in Ms Chan’s room.
3 AM - I posted musical chairs pics on Photobucket here is the link to the album
4 All - I also (finally) posted my omsi pics. The link to the omsi album is here

Tomorrow is our big constitution test - please study your worksheets on the constitution and the Bill of Rights! Please also bring a book to read quietly if you finish early…
Good Luck!

Fair Warning:
The test for the constitution unit will be Tuesday, October 30 (so you don’t have to study on Halloween). We will be doing review all this week - I suggest all students bring their Constitution worksheets (all of them) on Monday and Tuesday for ease of study…
