Monroe Middle School Announcements

Congratulations to 7th grader Skye Sinclair and 8th grader Maddie Cheek for being selected as the grade level winners in this year’s Society of Women Engineers Essay contest. Skye’s winning essay was about astronaut Wendy Lawrence and Maddie wrote about mathematician Sophie Germain. These Monrovians submitted essays in January, and were judged to have written better papers than over 75 other students from the Willamette Valley. Each girl will be receiving a check for $50 at a special banquet that will be held in Corvallis later this month. Way to go, Skye and Maddie!

Do you need some school supplies? A new book? Friday we will be offering school supplies and books for M&M’s during all three lunches. Be sure your name is on the M&M’s and bring them Friday at lunch!

Yearbook Staff, there is an all staff mandatory proofing meeting this Thursday right after school. As soon as you have checked all the pages you are free to go. If you cannot attend, make arrangements to come during lunches or resource to complete the proofing.
