Waking up to a dark room

The flowers outside have lost their bloom

Misty air, cold and crisp

The birds chirp without a lisp

 

Throwing on clothes and running down the stairs

During school I give no cares

Grabbing a coat to keep me warm

I open the door to see the storm

 

No school, hooray!

I am always grateful for a snow day
