Daily Schedule
2:15-2:50
Kids have an outdoor recess (indoor on wet days) and are served a hot meal in the cafeteria. During mealtime kids are presented with a skit or activity about the Word of the Day.
2:50-3:50
Kids are in classrooms participating in the academic portion of the day. During this time kids have the opportunity to play with words, learn new vocabulary, write their own stories, create literary arts projects, and share their work with their peers and teachers.
3:50-5:00
Kids enjoy the recreational portion of the day led by Eugene city Parks and Rec staff. Activities include arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor sports, and computer lab use.
Most importantly, from 2:15-5:00 kids are enjoying a safe and enriching atmosphere surrounded by adults who are intent on fostering community and academic success.
