Señora Jones has been teaching at Monroe since 1992. She teaches Spanish to eighth graders, Spanish Immersion Block to seventh graders, and Enrichment to sixth, seventh, and eight graders.
Sra. Jones was born in Mexico City, and became interested in becoming a teacher when she was volunteering at her children’s school. She attended the University of Oregon for her graduate and undergraduate studies.
She has taught at the University of Oregon, at Harrisburg High School, and at Monroe Middle School.
In her spare time Sra. Jones likes to read historical fiction books, watch movies at home and at the cinema, attend basketball games at the University of Oregon and meet with her friends.
Her goals for the future are to continue teaching, implement more technology in the classroom and to keep up with new teaching strategies.
