The quiz will cover subatomic particles (protons, neutrons, electrons), atomic mass, isotopes, weighted averages, ion formation, ionic compound formula writing, and ionic compound naming. Students should also be able to identify an element as a metal or nonmetal based on its position on the periodic table. 

An ion sheet and periodic table will be provided.
